A goal of being fitted is to allow for subconscious activation of all major muscles in your legs which makes it easier to produce power with less perceived effort.
No more quad dominance!
Orthodox bike fits typically leave you riding quad dominanant, especially after fatigue sets in. Reducing reliance on your quads and increasing the use of glutes and hamstrings is a priority for me.
Your bike fit is more about you and how your body works in conjunction with your nervous system than angles on a screen, a goniometer, and a level saddle that you see in an orthodox bike fit! Due to my own injury history, fitting cyclists with physial trauma is something I welcome.
The fits
Comprehensive Fit 1: If you clip in to ride road, this fit is for you. Substantial attention is paid to shoe/cleat set up. Please allow 3 – 4 hours. $425
Comprehensive Fit 2: This is for those who ride with flat pedals. Please allow 2 – 3 hours. $300
On-site Peloton/Soul Cycle Fit: I’ll fit your Peloton or Soul Cycle to you in the comfort of your home. $500
Maintenance Fit: For those who I’ve fitted more than 12 months ago that need an annual tune-up to their bike fit on the bike originally fitted. $250
Misc
Bike Finder Service : the best option when you’re looking for a new bike and want to know what to look for when selecting sizes. Utilizing the Purely Custom Fit Bike and XYBikeCalc software, we can quickly identify multiple brands/models of frames that will suit your needs. $200
Bike Repair and Service: When you need your bike running like new again, allow me to do that for you. $Varies
Custom Wheels: Let me build you a set of wheels tailored to your needs. Sapim spokes and nipples are my preference, and your choice of hubs and rims are available for purchase through me. $Varies
Chain Waxing: Waxed chains require less maintenance, last longer, and accumulate far less grit/grim that cause drivetrain wear. I use a custom blend of Tungsten Disulfide, and hexagonal Boron Nitride that shows excellent adhesion to a chain fully stripped of oil based lubricants. I can also source new chains for you as needed. $40
